Laboratory of physiology and genetics of behavior

The laboratory of physiology and genetics of behavior was founded in 50-s XX century by prominent russian biologist Leonid V/Krushinsky. The current researches of this laboratory promote the ideas of L.V. Krushinsky concerning animal elementary reasoning. The researches namely are dedicated to elementary reasoning ability in birds (Zorina Z. A., Smirnova A.A., Obozova T.A.), spatial behavior and memory in rodents, including wild species (Pleskacheva M.G., Kuptsov P.A.), physiological and genetic investigations of elementary logic task solution (Poletaeva I.I., Perepelkina O.V., Lilp I.G.), physiological and genetic investigation of audiogenic epilepsy (Poletaeva I.I., Fedotova I.B., Krusinsky A.L.), the role of genotype in remote effects of early treatments (Poletaeva I.I., Perepelkina O.V.).

Together with Institute of Anatomy, University Zurich-Ipchel, Switzerland (prof. H.-P. Lipp) , laboratory members participate in the study of the genotype role in the survival of mice in the semi-natural environment. tThis research is run on the basis of biological Station Chisty Less (Clean Forest), director Doct. Sc. V.S. Pazetnov (Toropetz region, Tver obl.).
