Lecture 1. Psychophysiology of vision and attention

Analyzer (definition). Principles of sensory physiology. Elements of psychophysics.
 As the frog visual system sees the world. Principles of organization of the visual system of mammals. The visual world of human. Asymmetry of the human brain and visual perception. Discussion of several examples of disorders of human visual perception (the phenomenon of neglect, visual ataxia, propasognosics, blind-seeing). Development of visual perception in ontogenesis. Problems of visual attention.
 
 
 Lecture 2. Psychophysiology, and neurobiology of consciousness.
 
 The classic definition of consciousness. Why the problem of consciousness became the fundamental problem of neurobiology? Function of consciousness. Psychological approach to the problem of "consciousness." Do animals "conscious"? Consciousness and perception. Consciousness and memory. Consciousness and language. Altered states of human consciousness: hypnosis, inculcation, sleep.

Lecture 3. Psychophysiology of  memory.

Lecture 4. Psychophysiology of language.
